Years ago I was fired in front of 230 Top Executives of companies when I suggested my goal is to set a atmosphere in company so that everyone in my team should work with their heart for the assigned task. (My intention were to keep a empathetic view so that cheerful mind can produce more and beyond the expectation )
But to my surprise, I was fired in front of mass by Company’s Top Executive by saying that such a goal is not measurable and I am wasting time of 230 senior executives of organization by putting this kind of thoughts. His views were very clear that today if you are producing 100 and tomorrow if you produce 120 he will be more happy than creating such a target.
I felt embarrassed and left that company soon. Later they also created a mess and declined to the bottom.
But still I am not convinced who was wrong at that moment.
