Loyal Employees, Luck Or Curse?

Everyone appreciate and want loyal employees in their organization but Loyalty has too many manifestations . Some people are Loyal to their Owners ,some may be Loyal to their Manager or some people are just Loyal to their Work.

Working with different companies I found that in general about 5% employees comes in first categories , as there is tough competition ,once they got certification from company Owners than they becomes system owner. All feed back given by such people considered as authentic feedback and they becomes eye and ear of Company owners. Some time it is good if right candidate is on this position but  in majority of cases I have seen these kind of people starts their game once they becomes certified Loyal.

Now let us discuss second category of Loyal employees. These are Loyal for their Manager and almost 80% employees belongs to this category because this way they secures their future. After all their Manager’s recommendation means a lot in personal growth ,also to create future job opportunities this is a well recognized system.

Third category I have seen they are loyal for their work but they never make any noise or claim for their performance. This kind of people are actually bread and butter of any organizations. The percentage is very less in any country, may be 10% but they are never appraised as Loyal but are being protected by virtue of their work.

In UK I have seen majority of people are not Loyal to anyone but are passionate for perfection of their work in other sense we can say they are Loyal for their work. Which one is better for companies?. They not worried or showing over enthusiasm to anyone but doing their job with perfection. They don’t compromise against their family  time but  respect 40 hours working with full dedication. But working with such team is a joy and their Managers never requires Loyal subordinate and Productivity with this kind of work force is very high.

How come this difference in the meaning of Loyal employee is creating a big difference in working cultures of developing countries and developed countries. Any comment ??. In my view in our society we gives highest rank to Loyal employees and it is our perception that it is not easy to get Loyal employees but we hardly recognizes devoted employee.
